Giggles & Grins child care is a privately owned home daycare located in Vista off of Melrose north of the 78. We are a large licensed daycare specializing in caring for toddlers through preschoolers 4 years of age. Our goal is partnering with parents and providing a fun, safe, clean learning environment for all ages.

I, Kellie O’Neill am the owner of Giggles & Grins Child Care. I am a mother of two, former preschool teacher and have been operating my own daycare for 18 years. I hold three degrees in early childhood education Liberal Arts, Liberal Studies and Social Science Behaviors. With the help of my staff, I am able to operate a structured routine atmosphere encouraging children to explore all areas of development.

A typical day consists of table work which focuses on strengthening fine motor skills by cutting, coloring and writing. Arts and crafts are offered daily and correlated with either the letter of the week or upcoming holiday, however singing songs and story time is always a highlight.

We teach and promote “self help skills”. Whether its putting on a jacket, zipping up zippers, putting on socks, tying shoes or simply washing their hands and face, we work together as a team to help build self esteem and reach these milestones. We strive to keep a preschool environment with a routine schedule and allow plenty of time for organized fun play.

Good health is a concern for most families and Giggles & Grins ensures families’ good health by providing a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables and protein meals that all kids enjoy. Encouraging children to eat full meals with lots of color generates a productive day for learning and making good decisions during play.
